Why, you may ask, am I worried about storing iPhone headphones? Allow me to explain…
My iPhone 4S came with the trademark or iconic white headset that includes a microphone and volume control. I like having them handy as here in California we have a hands-free law. There are big fines for driving with a phone in your hand. You must use a headset that is either wired or wireless. Not wanting another thing to have to remember to charge or carry I opted for using the provided headphones. I put one earphone in one ear that way I can still hear some of the traffic noise through the open ear. I was just tossing them in my briefcase, along with every other thing.
Unfortunately when I went to retrieve them they would invariably be entangled in something that was more firmly attached or stuck in my briefcase. this meant I was attempting to lift my entire briefcase and potentially break, my headphones. I needed some way of storing iPhone headphones safely.
Storing iPhone Headphones
Anyone who has been reading this blog for any period of time knows that I continually experiment with things. One of my favorite project boxes are Altoids tins. The standard Altoids tin is much bigger than is needed in this case. Hmmm, what to do? smalls! It turns out that the Altoids smalls tin is perfectly sized for storing iPhone headphones safely and best of all for free! See the photos below. Obviously this will work for any of your “iAnything” device phones. It will work with other bargain brand headphones too.

Your idea about the storage of the iphone headphones is awesome. I am one of those people that usually toss the headphones in a bag but then the headphones will end up crisscrossing and to use them I have to spend a lot of time unfolding them. That will help me a great deal.

The above tips will work when you have purchased you headphone. Yes you have to keep them safely. While you are going to purchase a headphone for your iphone, you need to be careful to make your phone work well. Buy the one which is suitable especially the jack connection. They should have good capacity to move in between phone calls using them.
